you are a writer or own your own business, you may be familiar with article sites. Articles sites give writers the opportunity to offer their material to a submission website for free. In turn, the article will receive a lot of promotion from visitors to the site on a daily basis. The author or person who submits the content allows visitors to publish the article on their website free of charge. However, there is one catch. Any one who copies information that you have written must give you credit for the work and include a link to your website if applicable.

Some writers may feel a little hesitant about giving their work away for free but actually this is one of the best ways to promote both your talent and your business to the world. If you spend a couple of hours crafting your content for an article submission site, you will lose a little bit of money that could have been earned from the sale of the article. Fortunately though, your submitted work piece will earn you much more than you ever could have made from a single sale.

At a popular article promotion website such as Article Alley, there are thousands of visitors to the website every day. This means unlimited exposure for your work. If someone has an interest in the topic you have written about, they simply click on the link to read the full text of the article. At the end of the article you include your name, contact information, and website address. If a person really enjoyed your writing or is interested in the information you provided, they will be very tempted to click on the link in your resource box for more details. You now have the chance to attract an endless amount of customers to your website without the use of traditional advertising methods.

There is an added benefit for writers who include a website address in their biography or resource box. Every time a visitor clicks on the link to your website, it increases the amount of incoming traffic. Most of the major search engines rate websites by not only the content they provide but also the number of incoming links going to the site. Many article promotion sites, including Article Alley, receive a high volume of traffic, typically thousands of customers per day. If just fifty people click on your website link, you have greatly increased your traffic through the use of a single article.

Another factor to consider is the number of times your article will be reproduced on the web. For example, let's imagine that ten customers really enjoyed your article and have posted the content on their own website. Now every time someone visits one of these websites, they have the opportunity to read the content you have written. Better yet, the article will at least include your name and possibly your website address if you included it in the original article posting. By submitting one article for free, you now have your name listed at ten different websites and possibly an additional ten incoming links to your website. This kind of advertising is especially good exposure for a writer. Often times when a client is considering hiring you, they may be interested in what previous online content you have published. By typing your name in a search engine box, they will instantly see the results of all the websites your work is posted at. This can be a great way to gain a clients trust.

Finally, one of the best reasons for offering content to an article submission site is the amount of time it saves you. Think about all the time and energy that is needed to promote your product or service. Some article submission sites, such as Finance Alley and Article Alley, do virtually all of the work in promoting your material. Your article will be advertised not only at these sites upon submission but also through RSS feeds to many other websites. With all the extra time and money you have saved in adverting costs, you can now afford to spend more time actually running your business. Article submission sites actually bring the customers to you.

Article Body:
When you are searching for the best home internet business you are searching for something that is hard to find.  The reason for this is that everybody has different tastes, and what is good for one person may not be good for another.  But with this being said, there are a few home internet businesses that stand head and shoulders above the rest.

Over the past five years, one of the best home internet business opportunities has been selling products on eBay.  The good thing about eBay is that you can sell products that can reach people from all over the globe.  In addition, you never have to worry about marketing your website because eBay takes care of all of that fore you.  The only thing that you need to do is list your products on the site, and wait for interested parties to place bids.  The most difficult part of the whole process is deciding which products you are going to sell, and how you are going to find them.  Many people have found that they can scour flea markets in their area, and sell the products on eBay for a huge profit.  Who would have ever thought that buying and selling items that you can find at the flea market could be so profitable?

Another home internet business opportunity that you may want to consider is becoming a freelance worker.  In other words, you can work from your home doing contract work for a variety of different companies.  This has become so popular over the past few years because of bidding sites that allow anybody to find jobs in no time at all.  You can be a contract worker in almost any industry; but the most popular are writing, programming, administrative assistance, and sales/marketing.

Setting up an ecommerce site is also another great way to make money online.  This is one of the best home internet business opportunities because you can sell items online without having to set up an actual land based retail outlet.  You can sell pretty much anything that interests you.  To get started you will need to set up a website that can take orders, and also determine where you are going to get your products from.

And finally, don't overlook simple affiliate programs if you are looking for an internet business opportunity.  The way that these programs work is simple; you will get paid for every visitor of customer that you send to your affiliate's site.

Overall, the best home internet business is one that you are comfortable with.  By finding an opportunity that you are familiar with, you will be able to increase your chances of success.  If you are simply looking to get started as soon as possible, you will want to consider the options listed above.

From: Silent SaleEverybody would love to make lots of money quickly, working from home, and only doing a few hours of work per week. I've spent the past two years trying to find a great way of doing this. Only over the course of the past few months have I found any "get rich quick" programs worth buying. I've been trying to make money online for a long time. I had a few small websites, but they never made much more than a few hundred per month. It was easy money and didn't require much work on my part, but I knew there were people out there doing better than I was and I knew I could do as well as them. Now, I've seen a lot of "get rich quick" programs. Most of these people make claims about earning $2000/day with Google or something similarly insane. Almost all of these people are complete liars. Even if they were making $2000/day with Google AdSense, it'd be because they had high- traffic websites with a lot of quality content. I'd know, because in one whole month, I never even made half of what they promised I'd make daily with their programs. Maybe you've already been scammed by one of these fraudsters. Anyway, I finally got sick of what was being offered. I decided I'd look through the all of the "get rich quick" programs I could find and see if there were any that were actually legitimate. I found that there were owners selling their programs for well over $100, but the information in them could be found almost anywhere online for free. Additionally, they all contained out-of-date information, had no e-mail support, no money back guarantees, and broken links in the downloads section. In conclusion, almost all of the programs I found were completely useless. The owners knew it, but they couldn't care less about their customers since they didn't offer refund policies! Amazingly, while looking through all of the programs, I actually did find a few legitimate programs. They were run by ordinary people like you and me, and they had found some great methods of making money from their home by doing very little work. I spent some time working with those programs, and my income is now ten times what it used to be. These programs provided a large amount of great information on how to make extra money on your computer doing very little work. Numerous customers had provided great feedback and reviews for their products. Many of them have started to make money just days after buying! Their programs have excellent prices, and the authors have a group of paid staff who are dedicating to helping you or providing assistance if you need any. I must say I was amazed! If you do decide to purchase any of the programs listed below, I recommend you join quickly. Most of the owners tell me they are getting an overwhelming number of sales and plan on raising prices in the near future, so order while prices are still low! To Your Online Success,Silent Sale

How to Use Internet Marketing to Sell Your Own eBook

How to Use Internet Marketing to Sell Your Own eBook

So, you have a great idea for an eBook, and you want to market it. It is very easy to do these days, and can bring in some money through Internet marketing. Here are some tips in getting your eBook ready, and on the market.

Article Body:
So, you have a great idea for an eBook, and you want to market it. It is very easy to do these days, and can bring in some money through Internet marketing. Here are some tips in getting your eBook ready, and on the market.

Choosing the Topic

It is always easiest to write about things that you really like. This means that, unless you are a writer, that your writing will naturally be more interesting if you write about things you are familiar with like a hobby or some sport, or electronics, or business, or Internet marketing, etc. Then, you will want to look and see if there are people interested in that kind of an eBook. You can check this out by seeing what keywords are being used, or if you have a mailing list you can send them a product survey.

Write the Book

Make your eBook stand out by seeing what is on the market about that subject, and then write yours a little different to make it stand out. Also, make sure it is original. If you copy what someone else has done, it can get you in serious trouble. Stay away from that. Make a lot of white space by using subtitles (like in this article), bulleted points, numbered points, and short paragraphs. And unless, you are writing a technical manual, write using rather simple words, thus producing clarity for most people.

Format Your Book

Put your eBook together with your word processor. Make sure you have an artful cover, a copyright, your name, a table of contents that is accurate, and use a good size font, like 11 pt is good, but 12 pt may be better. Do a spell check on the book, and if you are using any URL's, do a double check on them for accuracy.

Once all this is done, you are ready to turn it into an eBook. There are two ways to do this. One way is to send it by email to an online company, and you pay them to format your book for you. The cost is low, and they can give you good quality. Usually this will be made into a .PDF format. Another way to turn it into an eBook is to buy a software program, and do it yourself. This way also works but it is rather expensive.

Market your eBook

For a small fee you can give your eBook to Clickbank, and they will set it up for you, and sell it, too. This will allow affiliates to sign up and sell your book for you. You control all the rights, and you put it on your Internet marketing website. They just collect the funds and will get a percentage off the purchase price. Clickbank handles a lot of eBooks and they do a rather good job. Of course, being into Internet marketing, you may want to do it yourself.

FAQS of Timeshare

FAQS of Timeshare

Word Count:
1781

Summary:
Common questions asked about timeshare.

Keywords:
timeshare, timesharing, timesharingmadness, marketing, internet

Article Body:
Q:Who or What is TUG?

A:The Timeshare Users Group (TUG) is a web site operated by Bill Rogers and a group of volunteers who have a common interest in vacation timeshare ownership.

Q:I've read that this is a "not for profit" web site. Why is there a membership fee?

A:The membership fees pay for this site and all the associated costs of running the Timeshare Users Group ( phone bills, online fees, web site fees, domain registrations, postage, etc.....but no labor costs....we are an all volunteer organization.

Q:What are maintenance fees? And how much are they?

A:The cost of resort operation is spread among owners via an annual maintenance fee. The fee must also build up reserves to pay for non-recurring costs like furniture, appliances etc. that need periodic replacement and other capital costs as normal physical deterioration occurs. Cost is established by the developer or homeowners association. Caution: When a developer is in control, maintenance fees may be temporarily subsidized by the developer as a marketing tool while there is sales activity. After the homeowner association takes over, fees may quickly rise to unsubsidized levels.
Special assessments are sometimes added to maintenance fees to cover unexpected (non-reserved) expenses. These assessments are passed by the association board of directors. Severe storm damage would be an example where an extra assessment would apply.
Maintenance fees vary with the location and resort, but usually are in the $200 to $1000 per year range.

Q:Is buying a timeshare a good investment?

A:Timeshare ownership is an investment in quality vacations. Purchasers who buy a timeshare strictly for speculative reasons are usually disappointed as the resale market for timeshares does not appreciate as well or as fast as other real estate investments. As an investment in YOURSELF and your leisure time, a carefully researched timeshare purchase can be a good investment when compared to the cost of renting alternative comparable accommodations.

Q:If I decide to buy a timeshare, should I buy "new" from the developer or "used" as a resale?

A:All factors being equal, a resale from a previous owner or a resale company, will probably cost considerably less than buying direct from the developer. Deep discounts of 50% and more are not uncommon. There are instances where buying from a developer may be your only choice. Lack of a unit with the amenities, location or "extra" added programs like the Marriott point program might be a consideration to buy from a developer. Again, research your decision BEFORE you buy to secure the best deal for you. Where should you begin this research? I think you know the answer. Think "TUG"!

Q:Where is the best place to own a timeshare?

A:The answer can be as individual as each owner but the consensus answer falls into two categories based upon intended use.
If you intend to return to your resort frequently and exchange occasionally, your best choice is a resort you enjoy often.
If your primary intent is to maximize trade value and you do not intend to stay at your own resort very often, then you should buy at a resort which is in high demand.
While there is no single "best" choice, the current consensus of opinion says that Hawaii and coastal California are two easy choices that will produce top results.
There are many variables that would apply to any particular choice and a potential buyer is strongly advised to research factors that affect timeshare trade values before making a final choice. A membership in TUG that provides access to the resort ratings and reviews is an excellent place to start.

Q:Fixed week .vs. floating week ownership, what are they and which is better?

A:Fixed week ownership means that you have the right to occupy (or have available for trade or rent) a specific week and unit number at the resort you own every year.
Floating (sometimes referred to as flex) ownership means that even though you may be deeded a specific week and unit number, you have no use claim on that week or unit. Instead you have the opportunity to request a week within a specified range of weeks during the year. The range of weeks available for flex use is set by the resort and is the same range of weeks from year to year.
Advantages of owning a fixed week: You are guaranteed the week and unit you want every year (especially applicable to colder climate owners who want to vacation where it is warm in winter).
Advantages of owning a floating week: For those who are concerned about unforeseen work or schedule conflicts associated with a fixed week, floating time allows for additional planning options.
There are more implications with either type ownership especially as it applies to trading and vacation planning. A prospective timeshare owner is urged to examine the differences and make a choice to match the situation before purchasing.

Q:What is a bonus week and how can I get one?

A:The simple answer is that a bonus week is an "extra" week in addition to the one you own. It's given or sold as an incentive to timeshare owners for a specific reason.
A Developer Bonus Week (DBW) is available to members who own at participating resort. These bonus weeks are issued directly from the resort. They are sometimes issued as a signing bonus upon the purchase of a timeshare interval . Owners can sometimes purchase them from the resort as unsold developer owned weeks.
A second type of bonus week is one issued by an exchange company. Owners of high demand resort weeks receive them as incentives to deposit their timeshare week.
Bonus weeks are sometimes referred to as "Vacation Escape" weeks, "Getaway" weeks (or weekends). They are available to members of exchange companies like RCI, II and SFX. The exchange company makes bonus weeks available for purchase by members for a nominal fee. Purchased bonus weeks are considered "excess inventory" likely to go unused. Excess inventory is determined by the historical number of deposits versus the number of requests for each particular resort.
Bonus weeks usually come with expiration dates and may have other use restrictions relating to location, season and holidays.

Q:Which exchange company is best?

A:This is a "Coke vs Pepsi" question but it may be a moot point. The resort you own is probably affiliated with only one exchange company. There are, however, a few resorts affiliated with both. Do not let the resort's affiliation affect your decision to own or buy at the resort. Although there are preferences among people who have experience with both major exchange companies, there is no unanimous opinion that one is better than the other.
It should be noted that there are more than the two BIG exchange companies. TUG maintains a comprehensive list of timeshare exchange companies.

Q:If I deposit my week with an exchange company, does someone need to "take" it before I can request my desired week?

A:No. As soon as your week is deposited, you can request and get the week you want if it is available.

Q:I was contacted by company "X" offering to buy/sell/rent my timeshare for a fee. Can I expect them to do a good job?

A:Past experience by members and visitors to TUG have been unanimous in this regard. Never pay an upfront fee as a condition to buy, sell or rent your timeshare. This situation is probably the most common situation where an owner will probably be dissatisfied. ANY fee required before performance will probably be lost. These "fees" come disguised as "agent commissions", "appraisal fee", "advertising fee", etc. etc.   They all have one thing in common. The money is always requested before performance is complete. Some of the more notorious companies preying on timeshare owners desperate to sell their timeshare will have the words "bank", "trust", "investment" in their company title. This is in an attempt to instill a feeling of confidence in their target. Do not be a victim. Verify the credentials and performance of any company making this type of offer.
If necessary we strongly suggest dealing only with an agent who works on commission from proceeds of sale. Failing that, there are experienced TUG members willing to offer advice on the "how to's" of selling your timeshare. Visit the TUG BBS and start asking questions.

Q:I am an RCI member. Can I transfer weeks to other RCI members?

A:Reply from RCI:
The form in the back of the RCI Directory, Membership Transfer Application, is mainly used for the sale of timeshare, but also for transfer of weeks. The most important parts of the document are the areas which indicate your account information, the week you want trasferred, and to what account it's going to. As long as we have that information along with your signature, it should be taken care of. That information can also be listed in a signed letter if you prefer. Once the information is completed, you can fax it to us at 317/805-9335 if you wish. Hope this helps. Thanks for visiting our website. Darrin Goodwin, RCI Internet Team.

Q:Since a timeshare accommodation usually has more facilities than a hotel room, are there any additional items I should consider bringing on my timeshare vacation?

A:Most timeshare accommodations have cooking and laundry facilities. While it certainly isn't necessary to pack anything more than you normally would for the typical vacation, some TUGGERS seem to be a different breed. Take a look at the A.R. Timeshare Checklist and then decide for yourself. (I'll let you decide for what the "A.R." stands for)

Q:Are there any tax advantages or disadvantages to owning a timeshare?

A:Good question. Since I don't even do my own taxes, I'll refer you to TUG's expert  Timeshare and Taxes advice page to answer your question.

Q:What is the downside to owning a timeshare?

A:  * You must continue to pay the yearly maintenance fee, which can increase over the lifetime of the resort, whether you use it or not.
    * You could be required to pay additional "special assessments" arising from unexpected costs of maintaining or repairing the resort.
    * Some people feel that owning a timeshare requires excessive advanced planning in attempts to reserve a popular floating week or to obtain a good exchange week. Planning a timeshare vacation a year in advance is not unusual.
    * The majority of concerns with timeshare ownership seems to center around dealing with cost and interaction with exchange companies. It's often not the straightforward process the timeshare sales staff would have you believe.

An Internet Marketing Guru's true story

An Internet Marketing Guru's true story

Word Count:
485

Summary:
Get Gone is a true life story played out and written daily on the internet at . Written by an Internet Marketing guru, it is not a love story, its too bizare for that. It originally started as his wordpad notes while he was trying to logically identify the unusual events around him and developed into such magnitude, that the whole evolving story was put on the internet from a site he specially made for it, GetGone.net .  This is possibly the most unusual way of releasing such an event, but what do you expect from an Internet Marketing bod? However a daily dose of this enthralling true life saga promises to be a riveting and addictive experience for anyone who finds it and I think many will. This is very viral internet marketing material.

Keywords:
Internet marketing, get gone, guru

Article Body:
Get Gone starts out as jottings of the traumatic few days in the breakdown of a long relationship between two soul mates and lovers. One who dreams and an Internet marketing guru who deals with reality.  Get Gone tells of how the desires of one consumed and depleted the other.  Get Gone tells of illusions, spirits and black magic. Get Gone spells out the anguish of uncertainty and emptiness.  The big difference is that Get Gone has only just started, its already beyond those few days and into even deeper territory.  Where emotions are at critical and losses will be huge, and changes are already intensively decisive. This story has much distance to go and captivating pages to produce, into a future you could not even start to imagine and from a past that will spell bind you. Its destined to be a book better than any fiction.  They say fact is stranger than fiction, well here is the actual marketing proof.

But most of all, Get Gone tells it as it happens, sometimes minute by anguishing real true minute. This is wilder than any romance, better than any fantasy, more mind blowing than any trip, deeper than any emotion and frightening.  And its true as it happens!  Episode by unsuspecting episode.  There is a mountain to be learnt from this far out experience and a whole lot of very unusual stuff to get used to.  But, Get Gone has only just started, the story is developing day by riveting day with who knows what outcome.  But it sure is addictive stuff and you never know what is coming next. As an Internet Marketing Viral, it could be pure dynamite.
Its much better than Big Brother or Coronation street or any soap for that matter, this is real unique content, like never before. They didn't have illusions and evil spirits in them now did they?  Or the promise of intensive love triangles and passionate affairs destined to be?  Or promises of new equally unbelievable adventures in far off places with who knows who?  Or even complete disaster!
All emotions laid open to the core and all things are possible with this saga.

Will it all work out?  Is there even bigger problems to come?  Will there be new loves in the air or deeper despair?  Will the Chauffeurs queue up outside?  Will independence be found?  Will Elizabeth change direction yet again?  Will she ever find true happiness?  Will torrid love affairs develope?  Will a new home be on the horizon?  Will the Internet marketing succeed?  Will there be even bigger illusions?  Will the cleaner be gay?  Will new spirits or devils appear?  Will he wear a condom?  There is so much that will yet happen and even the author knows not will or wont.

This could make make best read of the year on the Internet or even best read of the year, full stop!

Because of the ability to specifically target your unique prospects based on interest as well as geography, the ability to tightly control your ad spend and to precisely measure results, Pay-Per-Click (PPC) is probably the greatest breakthrough to come along in advertising since the launch of television.  And, because of those same benefits, it's much more affordable for the small to mid-size business owner to leverage for their business (as compared with television and many other advertising alternatives).

That being said, PPC is not as easy as it seems at first glance. Business owners looking to launch their first campaign will quickly discover how easily they can spend hundreds – and even thousands – of dollars in wasted efforts while they learn to navigate the PPC waters.

While entire books have been written on the ins-and-outs of pay-per-click advertising, there are 5 common mistakes that I see business owners making when I'm asked to evaluate their pay-per-click campaign strategies.  These mistakes are easy to fix, and doing so will dramatically increase the effectiveness of your pay-per-click campaign!

The 5 most common PPC mistakes are:

   1. Using your home page as the landing page.  No matter which search engine you use for your campaign – Google, Yahoo!, MSN or any other – you can decide where to direct your new customers when they click on your ad.  The most common mistake I see business owners make when they launch their PPC campaign is directing those clicks to their home page.  The thinking seems to be that their home page is equivalent to the front door of their business, and they want their new customers to walk through – but that's where they go wrong.  With PPC advertising, your prospect is searching for something highly specific – that's the "keyword" they've entered into the search engine.  Having them land at your home page is the equivalent of having them ask you for a specific item in your store, and you telling them – "it's in here somewhere, it's up to you to find it."  Obviously you wouldn't do that in person with your customers – and you don't want to do it online, either.  By designing what's known as a "landing page" – the place where visitors "land" when they click on your ad - you can present your customer with exactly what they are looking for when they come to your site.  Your landing page should be tightly focused to the keywords you are using for your PPC ad, with no other links or distractions to confuse your prospect. This dramatically increases their satisfaction with your site, as well as the likelihood that they will make a purchase from you.

   2. Not customizing your landing page to your prospects' keyword searches.  The way an ideal PPC campaign works is something like this:  a prospect enters a search term – for my business it might be "e-mail marketing."  They are presented with my PPC ad with "e-mail marketing" in the headline AND the ad copy.  My prospect clicks on my ad and is taken to my landing page that is all about e-mail marketing.  (I will have bid on both "e-mail marketing" and "email marketing" to capture searchers entering it both ways).  The likelihood that my prospect will become a customer is high, because there is no confusion about what the page is about – no wondering if he's in the right place or if we offer what he is looking for.  A common mistake I see business owners making with their PPC campaigns is to try to combine several products or services into one landing page.  This leads to frustration when your searcher clicks on your ad and lands on a page that they aren't sure offers what they are specifically looking for.  Make sure your landing pages are customized to the keyword your prospect is searching for – and quickly turn prospects into customers.

   3. Using generic ad copy in your PPC ads.  The tricky thing with PPC ads is you don't have much real estate to work with.  Google allows just 70 characters; Yahoo allows 190 characters (with spaces) in a text ad.  When every single word counts, you can't afford to use meaningless words like "high quality service," or "established in 1903."  While these statements may be true about your business, they don't target the specific searches your prospects are entering to find the products and services they are looking for.  A mistake I see clients make in their PPC ads is to include these type of generic statements that don't set their business apart.  When you are writing your ad, you'll want to include specific keywords that your prospects will likely enter to find what you have to offer.  Your headline must be captivating and should include your main keyword.  The next line of your ad should contain the single biggest benefit you offer to your customers.  What sets your company apart from your competitors?  That's what goes in your PPC ad.  The 3rd line of your ad should contain a feature of your product or service or an offer – special discounted pricing or something free work well here.  By making your ad specific to the keywords that your prospects will likely enter, you'll be well on your way not only to increasing clicks, but to turning clicks into cash as well.

   4. Not securing high enough placement with your bids.  All of the search engines use a slightly different method for determining the position for your ad.  Google and Yahoo use a combination of ad relevancy (how relevant your ad is to the keywords you've bid on and the landing page you present to your visitors) and bid price.  A big mistake I notice my clients making is not targeting their keywords tightly enough and specific enough to their product or service to allow them to bid high enough on those keywords to secure top placement on the search engines.  It's estimated that 85% of all PPC clicks occur on ads that appear in one of the top 3 positions on the page.  That means, if you aren't working hard to find keywords that are specific enough to your niche and not bidding high enough to secure a top spot, you are missing out on a good portion of the clicks that could be yours.  Use a keyword tool such as Wordtracker to research keyword possibilities that you may not have considered.  Look for a Keyword Effectiveness of 10 or greater – meaning that the keyword has sufficient search queries with the engines to result in significant traffic, without a lot of competitors bidding on the same keyword.  When you place your campaign, use these keywords and bid high enough to secure a top spot, ensuring that the people searching for what you have to offer find your website – instead of your competitors.

   5. Not testing your ads to determine their effectiveness.  While there is a "formula" for crafting an effective PPC ad, slight changes – even changing one word – can have a dramatic impact on your click-through-rate (the percentage of people who click on your ad as compared with the number who see it).  A mistake I see business owners making with their campaigns is to choose their keywords and then write only one PPC ad to display.  All of the major search engines offer the capability of creating ad variations so that you can test different ad copy to determine what works best.  This is known as "split testing" or "A/B" testing, as you are comparing the results of two different ads for the same keywords.  Google will alternate the ads for you, and you'll easily be able to see which ad performs better by looking at your click-through-rate.  When you find an ad that outperforms another, that ad becomes your "control" – or the ad to beat.  Put the under-performing ad on "hold" and create another version, changing one or two words or possibly just the headline.  Then test that ad against your control.  This is a continual process – you are always trying to beat your control to improve your number of clicks.  Not surprisingly, advertisers who test their ads in this method are more successful with PPC, as they tend to know their customers better and are able to target their prospects with captivating ads that turn into an increasing number of clicks – and customers – for them.

Pay-per-click advertising has enormous benefits for the small to mid-size business owner.  Avoiding these 5 common mistakes will help you save money and quickly turn clicks into customers – and increased profits – when you launch your next PPC campaign.

Article Body:
After several months of studying the art of marketing businesses by using informative articles I've been really impressed with the tremendous information that's out there.  By writing a content rich, helpful and informative article you can set yourself apart as an expert in your field and generate traffic to you and your business.
Most of my study has been in the field of Internet marketing, but as the wheels of my mind have been turning and with the experience I've had with Direct Sales, I want to encourage you, Direct Selling Mom, to explore this as a way to expand your business... and provide a new outlet of fun for yourself too!
Why in the world do you want to spend time writing articles? If you're like me, you're business life is already too consuming and you need to spend less time on your business, not more!
First, it's FUN! Here's your chance to let your creative juices flow! You know how much you love your products.  And at your parties, you love talking about them to the party guests. But now, you have a chance to take it another level. Do you sell scrapbooking products? Share your heart about the importance of creating a legacy of memories for your progeny. Passionate about candles?  Write an article about the warmth of hospitality in your home that can be created by simply adding some beautiful candles to your decor. Think beyond the specific products in your line and create from your heart! You'll see... it' will stretch your mind and you'll love every minute of it!
Second, it's profitable. As you send out valuable content either online to article directories or offline to your local publications, you're establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Because each article has a resource box, an author section with your information - name, email, website, email and/or phone, the people who read your article, will know who to contact... YOU!
Third, it sets you apart. Direct Sales is a competitive business and most likely if you're in company that's more than a year or two old, you're not the only representative around. By writing articles and establishing credibility, you're setting yourself apart from other consultants in your own company and in competing ones as well.
How to start? Here are some quick suggestions:
1. Read some other articles online that fit in with the theme of your particular product line.
2. Pick your favorite product from your direct sales catalog. Take a long look at it and think about WHY this is your favorite. What can it "do" for your customers... what's it's value.
3. Write down your thoughts about the product in list form. Look through the list and find some "key words" that really stand out.
4. Using those key words, start to build a story about the experience of the product.... not the specific product itself. This is where you really begin to write an article rather than a sales pitch.
5. Now just keep writing...tweak, change, set it aside for a day and come back to it. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't come to you right away, especially if you're not a writer by nature.
6. Take a risk and have a good friend read and critique your thoughts. Be open to her ideas and rewrite again.
When you think you and your article are ready, it's time to submit it to your local paper or to online article directories. Just do an Internet search for "article directories" as a good starting point.
So much information is available online for maximizing this avenue of marketing. Take advantage of it ... and watch your business grow!

How to make the switch to working online Part 3

How to make the switch to working online Part 3
Word Count:
1192
Summary:
How to take the initial steps in starting your career and work online. How to pick and choose you lifestyle and develop yourself to ensure success in working online. By learning different unconventional marketing techniques and using different marketing strategies you gain the edge on your competition through marketing online.

Keywords:
Unconventional Marketing, Marketing Ideas, Marketing Strategy, Josh Whitford

Article Body:
I know everyone wants the magic bullet or the secret elixir to making money online, and the truth is I don't have it. The most I can do is tell you what I have done and the things not to do in order to make the switch. The best part about not being able to tell you how to make your money online is that it will not limit you in your pursuit to do so. The sky is the limit and when you find your niche you'll watch your business returning more than you ever thought possible. I don't have to remind, but the Internet can deliver more customers to your business than being located in the most expensive and trafficked intersection in downtown Manhattan. Here are four lessons to keep in mind while discovering your calling online. Hopefully they will reduce the bumps along the way.
First:
Wait before you act. I am sure most of you were like me and discovered how some others were making their money online and decided to do the same exact thing in order to make some cash. You have to give yourself a breathing period before you act on those urges and more importantly before you spend money. Here is a simple rule: For every $100 you are about to spend, wait a day. The average wage is about $10 an hour and $100 is roughly 1 days worth of work. Before you spend that money on something, ask yourself if it will help you in your quest to making money online. Wait, think about it for a day, then if you still think it is a good idea, go for it. Even if that idea doesn't pan and make you money back, you had the time to properly analyze the information and hopefully did a little more research and soul seeking. You'll be surprised how much money you will save when you employ this tactic of waiting.
I love to read both online and offline and when I get into the mode of one idea or another I want to jump on it while it is fresh and seize the day. This is particularly dangerous online because of all of the information and plethora of ideas available from all sorts of people who claim to have made it big online with whatever technique they are promoting. Don't forget they got rich promoting those ideas and encouraging that "I can do anything" emotion.
Second:
Ask for someone else's opinion. When I say most of my friends and family don't know what I do online, I mean it, they don't. The reason for them not understanding what I do is simply because their generation was not immersed in the age of the Internet like my generation was. But business is business and marketing is marketing both on and offline. I know there are a lot of different techniques, but the basic principles hold true in both worlds. Before you set out to make your millions online, tell someone else how you plan on doing that. On top of telling them, ask for their opinion and listen. More often than not, you will have to explain things like you are talking to a 5th grader, not in disrespect but in order to bring understanding of what it is you are planning on doing. If it is a get rich quick scheme or sounds to good to be true, you will probably see that in your discussion. Listen and heed those warnings. Don't get defensive with question after question. A one-hour discussion with another person can save you hundreds of hours of work and more importantly wasting your time. The Internet is full of ways to make money online, but if you can't name one person who has done that to make money, it is probably because no one else has.
Third:
Develop a leather skin. I know after that last point you might think this is counterproductive, but I am referring more to the criticism you will for sure get. I was fairly lucky in the area of criticism. Most of my friends and family have come to expect that I would try and do things others typically don't. With the help of family, I bought a house at 19 to rent out the rooms while going to college and many more atypical things. Other people are not so lucky when it comes to criticism from their support group. It is hard to combat that negative energy and comments while you aim for your goal. Most of that criticism comes from a lack of understanding on their part. Take the time to sit down with them and explain your logic and method you are using to obtain your goal. Hopefully that will squelch the criticism, but it is not guaranteed to do so. The truth is those criticizing your idea normally care about you and don't want you to fail trying to obtain some lofty goal they don't understand. In this case, the more they know about your goal and method, they will probably start supporting you in your endeavor.
If talking fails to rally the support you need, surround yourself with others who have the same type of goals you do. Find a forum or small group that is aiming to do what you are doing, and join the community. Others might not understand your need to go after these goals, but your new friends will. Make your intentions known, and see who is in support of them. Those are the people you should develop a strong relationship with.
Fourth:
Draft your ideas. Like doing an outline for a paper in high school, it is still important to map out your plan of action and develop the idea. The last thing you want to do is get caught with your pants down in the business world. Having a clear thought written down with the steps you want to take will save you a lot of time. As you truck along on your online ventures, it is easy to get sidetracked and lose focus. Having your plan or goals down and in a visible place will bring you back to where you need to be, much like the Constitution is for the United States (bad example but you get the idea). Goals and visions change all the time, and that is okay. When you feel the project is going to take you in a new direction, simply make the changes to your business constitution.
On a final note, I wish it were easy to tell people how to live and make money online, but it isn't. The most I can do is give you a set of guides and some time saving methods to help you along in your quest. I have had to learn the hard way more often that not even though I had the counsel of others that had gone on before me. I still tried the same stupid techniques guaranteed not to make you money and wasted countless hours doing so.

Many travel and holiday websites are now utilizing AJAX. AJAX is not new, but it is developing into a major buzzword in IT departments and at web developers. It's also a potential source of friction between IT/development and marketing.

AJAX is short for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML, a development technique designed to create interactive web applications. AJAX makes web pages faster loading and more responsive by exchanging small amounts of data with the server so that the whole page does not have to be reloaded each time the user requests a change. This is meant to increase the web page's interactivity, speed, and usability. One of the "classic" AJAX applications that most people are familiar with is Google Maps.

There are some major benefits to implementing AJAX on a travel or holiday websites. It can assist in delivering an improved user experience through faster loading, improved page interactivity and enhanced visual presentation. There is also the benefit of reduced bandwidth usage as smaller packets of data are downloaded rather than whole web pages.

However, there is a price to pay for delivering this enhanced user experience. The problem is that search engines can't see your AJAX delivered content or navigation as they are unable to run the Javascript code necessary to generate the HTML content. If the search engines cannot access your content or follow your navigational links you could be seriously restricting your site's exposure in the search engines.

There is no doubt that AJAX is here to stay, at least until something better comes along. It's also likely that the major search engines will become more adept at spidering and indexing AJAX generated content. However, until they do, the simple solution is to avoid using AJAX where it is not needed on your site. If you do intend to use AJAX make sure that your IT department or web developer create real links and HTML content to feed the spiders with.

Have you recently decided that you would like to update or redecorate your office workspace? If so, have you come up with any ideas yet? If you have yet to start planning your next office redecorating project, you may want to think about adding fish into the mix; yes, fish. Although most businesses frown upon office pets, you will find that fish are often a different story. If properly taken care of, fish make for great office pets. They are quite, clean, and beautiful. That is why if you are looking to give your office a new feel, you may want to think about purchasing a few fish to display.

Of course, as you likely already know, you can't have fish without a fish tank. When it comes to purchasing a fish tank, you have a number of different options. In fact, you may have more options than you know. How much knowledge of fish tanks do you have? If you have a small amount or none at all, you are advised against going right out and purchasing the first fish tank that you come across. Not only may you end up paying too much money, but you may end up not getting a good value for your money. That is why it is wise that you consider all of your options before making a purchase.

When it comes to purchasing a fish tank for your office, you need to keep one thing in mind; your office. Although fish are fish, where you are keeping them is different. A fish tank that is suitable for the home may not necessarily be suitable for your office. That is why you may want to think about researching high-end or modernized fish tanks. After a close examination, you will likely see that they are more suitable for the office than most standard fish tanks. To get started, you may want to think about browsing through the selection of fish tanks at an online fish tank store, such as FishTanksDirect.com. When shopping for a modernized, but sophisticated fish tank, you will likely find a larger selection when shopping online, when compared to your local pet supply store.

As previously mentioned, you will likely find a large selection of fish tanks online, namely when shopping with FishTanksDirect.com. If you are looking for a modernized, sleek, but sophisticated place to store your office fish, you may want to examine a BiOrb. BiOrbs have a globe-like design. That design resembles simple, traditional fish tanks. While the resemblance is there, that is about the only thing that is present. This is due to the technology that a BiOrb encompasses. With an advanced filtration system, often a five stage filtration system, you will find that maintence seems as if it is a thing of the past. Many times, an occasional cleaning or filter change is all that you need; which is perfect for office fish.

In addition to the sophisticated design and advanced filtration system, a BiOrb may be the perfect fit for your office workspace due to its beautiful lighting. Almost all BiOrbs come equipped with high-tech lighting. This high-tech lighting only adds to the beauty of a BiOrb. As with most other fish tasks, you will find that BiOrbs come in a number of different sizes. These sizes tend to include four gallon, eight gallon, nine gallon, and sixteen gallon tanks. The cost of a BiOrb will all depend on its size, but the prices typically range from around sixty dollars to one hundred and eighty dollars.

In addition to a BiOrb, you may also want to examine a Nano Cube. Nano Cubes are also sleek, modern, and sophisticated fish tanks. Nano cubes are in a traditional cube shape, but you will notice that they are missing the black sealing that is found on many traditional tanks. The lack of sealing is one of the ways that a Nano Cube can help to create a sophisticated environment in your office workspace. As with the BiOrb, Nano Cubes come in a number of different sizes, which tend to include five gallon, nine gallon, and twenty two gallon tanks. The cost of a Nano Cube will also depend on its size, but Nano Cubes typically begin selling at around one hundred and fifty dollars.

As previously mentioned, you are advised to checkout FishTanksDirect.com for a large selection of fish tanks, many of which may be perfect for your office workspace. No matter which fish tank you choose to purchase, you will likely be pleased with your decision to do business with FishTanksDirect.com.

Many home based businesses are failing. Studies show 90 percent of all home based businesses are failing to make any profit. There are many reasons for this. I believe everyone from the companies to the home business owners are at fault. Many people are afraid to join or start a home business because of all of the negative publicity going around. Many people who have actually started a with a business have lost lots of money but at the same time many people have also made a ton of money with these types of businesses. I will separate the myths from the facts in this article and explain what is really takes to be successful with these types of businesses. Hopefully this will put to rest any fears or questions you may have about the home business industry.

Like anything else in life you will alway's have a few bad apples ruining it for everyone else. And this is what has happened in the home business industry. There have been a few companies who had one purpose and that one purpose was to scam hard working and decent people out of their money. Once this happened of course word spread and a therefore a bad rep was given. Another thing that has hurt the home business industry is bad advertising. Some companies make promises they cannot deliver on. For example make $100,000 a year only working 10 minutes a month. Claims like this are completely untrue and many people have been burned by companies proclaiming ads like that.

But it is not entirely the companies fault, either. This maybe something you are not used to reading or hearing but it is also the faults of the people looking to join or start a home business. Most business owners will not tell you that since they are looking to sell you something, so they tell you everything you want to hear. I will be very blunt, many people looking to go into this industry are looking for the quick fix. They are looking to make money overnight. Many will give up after one month of trying to get a business off the ground. Now as a business owner myself, I think that is crazy, quitting after a month is ridiculous. You have to give your business a chance to succeed by sticking with it and working it daily.

Over 90 percent of home based businesses fail because many people come in with the wrong mentality. They come in thinking they will get rich quick by only working 10 minutes a month. Some of the companies in this industry also do not help out since they make such claims, like work 10 minutes a month and make 6 figures. Building a business for yourself can be one of the greatest things you can do for yourself but you must understand a business takes time and work to build. It does not happen overnight. If you are willing to put in the work and stick through the ups and downs you will find yourself enjoying a life of wealth and abundance.

Article Body:
E-books have been used on the internet for a very long time. They are mostly used by companies and entrepreneurs to educate people on a specific topic. Here are a few reasons why e-books are now getting very popular.

1) E-books are cheap to produce and don't take long to set up.

If you have articles that you have already written about the subject you are promoting, you can easily combine these articles into one simple e-book. If you do not want to use your own articles, you can get the resell rights to previously written e-books that have been produced by others.  Just use any search engine and do a search for reusable e-books. You will get a great amount of hits and have many to choose from.

One way to distribute these e-books to visitors to your website is to give them as a free gift for subscribing to your newsletter or RSS feed. If your e-book contains material that people will want to share with their friends and family, they will pass it on and soon your one little e-book will be all around the internet.

2) E-books are capable of reaching a large audience.

The only limiting factor is the enthusiasm of the participants. It is absolutely valid that your e-book contains something that people will want to share for timely information or even humor. Keep in mind that people like to know something that the rest of the world needs to know. They will pass along something that makes them look like they have secret knowledge.

3) E-books can make sales.

E-books are the perfect vehicle to sell other products other than the one you originally targeted. On good example is if you are selling weight loss vitamins or programs, you can add an e-book relevant to it, and easily increase your sales. The e-book will help to give the buyer a more in depth knowledge on the particular subject.

4) E-books can build a reputation.

E-books are effective in building your reputation. Remember that if your e-book gets around the internet, you will become widely known as an expert in your field. They work almost exactly like well written articles.

5) E-books can be used to enhance affiliate programs.

Some e-books will combine very well with an affiliate program. When the affiliate marketer receives extra benefits from promoting the viral message, the affiliate makes a sale when a reader buys through a branded link. You benefit from increased traffic on your website because the affiliate is willing to promote the e-books for you. It is like getting constant visitors to your own private store.

Be absolutely certain that your message includes a clear call to action. There should not be any doubt about what you want your visitors to do. Make sure that the instructions are perfectly clear so that they know how to act. The action that you require should be simple and obvious. Do not make things complicated or it will confuse the visitor and you can lose a potential customer.

Keep in mind that if you publish many e-books around the internet, not only will you make great money; you will also become an official expert. Overall, e-books have proven to be a very powerful marketing tool.
